What to Pack
Clothing Basics
Summery stuff it’s normally high 80s and a little breezy during the day (not humid). Night is normally high 60s.
Bathing Suit
Water Shoes (if you go to the beach, you might need to navigate stairs)
Sunglasses
Comfortable Non-Slip Walking Shoes for Lisbon’s slippery cobblestoned hills
Long-sleeve shirt or wrap for cool nights
Suit or Dress for Wedding (formal attire)
Don’t try to break in new shoes. It’s a lot of walking and you’ll get bad blisters, I’ve been there. Flip flops and heels are not a great idea in Lisbon.
Electronic Accessories
Power Adapters so you can plug in your electronic devices
A Power Brick to keep your phone[s] charged
A Travel Power Strip so you can plug multiple devices in per-Adapter
See our Power Adapters & Bricks page for links to what we use.
Other Things
Waterproof Phone Pouch if you plan to get wet (e.g. our Benagil Kayak trip)
Your Vaccine Card - Not required, but just in case you’re asked for it
Masks - you are required to wear these on public transportation, including Ubers
Your Passport (and Passport ID card if you have it) - keep your passport in your Hotel room safe and carry your Passport ID card with you. We also keep pictures of our Passports stored on our phones just in case. In Portugal, you are required by law to carry ID with you.
Don’t Bring These
Note: these are OK if you buy special dual-voltage travel versions. If you’re not sure, you probably don’t have one…
Curling Irons
Hairdryers
Hair straighteners
If you really want to bring yours, you will need to buy a voltage converter - not an adapter. See our Power Adapters & Bricks page for details.
